An agonising 90th-minute strike takes England to their second successive European Championship final

A magnificent and agonising goal from Ollie Watkins took England to their second successive European Championship final.

Watkins, who had replaced captain Harry Kane, scrambled and fired a strong right-footed cross to score the final 2-1 against the Netherlands in the 90th minute of the semi-final.

The Netherlands took the lead with a goal from Xavi Simons in the 7th minute, to which England responded with a penalty converted by Harry Kane in the 18th.

England, who have never won a European Championship and lost the final against Italy in the last edition in 2021, will face Spain this Sunday in Berlin in the decisive match of the championship.
