Fourth in a row.. A historic loss for Guardiola and Manchester City in the Premier League

Manchester City continued its losing streak for the fourth consecutive match, losing today, Saturday, to host Brighton, with a score of 1-2, in the eleventh round of the English Premier League.

Manchester City took the lead through Erling Haaland in the 23rd minute, with the Norwegian striker taking his tally to 12 goals to become the competition’s top scorer.

But Brighton turned the tables on their guest in the second half with two goals by substitutes Joao Pedro (78) and Matt O’Reilly (83).

The Citizens lost their second consecutive match in the Premier League after losing to Bournemouth in the last round, adding to their two losses against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League, and before that, their exit from the English League Cup after losing to Tottenham.

Manchester City lost 4 consecutive matches for the first time since August 2006, and its Spanish coach, Josep Guardiola, lost 4 consecutive matches for the first time in his coaching career.

With this loss, Manchester City’s score froze at 23 points, remaining in second place, and giving the opportunity to the leader Liverpool with 25 points to widen the points gap.

Brighton raised its score to 19 points in fourth place, recovering from its two losses to Liverpool in the league and the League Cup, and a draw with Wolverhampton in the league championship
