The Laboral Kutxa Team will be present at the Tour de France this year, as the Basque team has received one of the five invitations granted by the organization of the race, as announced by the organization itself.

The race will be held in seven stages between August 12 and 18, starting in the Dutch city from Rotterdam and a final stage arriving at the mythical Alpe d’Huez.

Laboral Kutxa will also compete in the Vuelta a España, in this case between April 28 and May 5.

Two participations in major stage races that, according to the Basque team, “establish the women’s professional structure of the Euskadi Foundation in the calendar and the international peloton of the highest level”.

For Ion Lazkano, sports manager of the Laboral Kutxa-Euskadi Foundation, “being in the Tour de France is the maximum you can aspire to in sport”, since “at the end of the day it is the race par excellence, where everyone wants to be present and where all the focus of media attention is”.
