Letizia applauds Blaugrana’s victory in the Copa de la Reina
Letizia applauded FC Barcelona’s eight-goal victory in the Copa de la Reina and presented the trophy to Alexia Putellas, captain of the Blaugrana team. The Queen has once again demonstrated her commitment to sport and, in particular, Spanish women’s football with her presence in the final of the Copa de la Reina played in Zaragoza.
Doña Letizia has occupied a distinguished place in the box and, although restrained to show her impartiality, she has enjoyed the match between the Blaugrana team and Real Sociedad in a crowded La Romareda stadium with 25,600 spectators.
The Queen, after her injury to her right foot, has once again resorted to comfortable shoes. On this occasion she has put on white sneakers, a model very similar to that of Minister Pilar Alegría, who has opted for the iconic Adidas Samba, the sports brand’s best sellers. Letizia completed her look with a multicolored checked button-down jacket made of tweed from the Spanish fashion brand Mirto, and simple white pleated pants.
It marks her return to the important annual event for women’s sport after a five-year absence. The last time he appeared was in May 2019, in a match played by Atlético de Madrid and Real Sociedad. On that occasion, the match ended in victory for the Donostians.
FC Barcelona has won a total of ten Queen’s Cups and confirms the magnificent sporting moment of the Blaugrana team. This season they have won a total of three out of four titles – La Liga, Copa de la Reina and Spanish Super Cup – ahead of next week’s Champions League final in Bilbao
