Estevao Willian, ‘Messinho’ (17 years old), one of the most promising players in Brazilian football, seems to have his next club. The winger will sign for Chelsea for a fee of €40 million plus another €25 million in variables with a contract until 2032, as reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano. The talented Palmeiras winger will join the Blues from 2025, when he will have turned 18.
This move will put an end to Messinho’s soap opera. Barça have been following the player since last year, but the emergence of Lamine Yamal and the high price of the possible transfer slowed down the progress of an alleged arrival. The player already revealed in an interview with MD that his dream was to “play for Barça” (with a Pedri shirt in his hands), a goal that will take at least a few years.
This season he has made 16 appearances for the first team. In 649 minutes he has three goals and an assist, numbers that do not stand out in particular, but the sensations and his good performances in the youth categories and in the U-17 World Cup have raised him to be one of the greatest pearls of South America.
