The Iraqi Olympic team played a special match against Ukraine in the opening matches of the football competitions at the Paris 2024 Olympics, and achieved a victory, to top the group, along with the Moroccan team.
The Iraqi team defeated Ukraine 2-1, after being behind with a clean goal.
Ukraine scored the goal through Valentin Rubchenski in the 53rd minute, but captain Ayman Hussein levelled the score after only 4 minutes, from the penalty spot.
The victory came with the feet of the rising star, Ali Jassim, after technical skill, in the 75th minute.
Morocco beat Argentina by the same score in the opening Group B matches, putting them at the top of the Iraq.
